Xoloitzcuintle, del Enigma al Siglo XXI

VALADEZ AR, – MESTRE AG,
México ISBN 978-970-95499-0-4, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, Instituto de Investigaciones Antropológicas – UNAM y ARTENACIÓN (2007 – 2008).

This book emerges as a direct response to Norman Pelham Wright’s 1960 book edited by the National Anthropology Institute in Mexico, entitled «El Enigma del Xoloitzcuintle» which was the promoter of many myths and misunderstandings about this special breed and which has cost so much recognition to the coated variety. Here we present a technical manual about the Xoloitzcuintle breed that describes it’s origins, its passage through the history of Mexico, scientific studies, the Xoloitcuintle Today, the foundation of the breed, Breed Standard, morphology, type, breeding, care, shows and associations. With an excellent selection of images, rarely seen.
